It was barely even seven and the chatter of the students had already engulfed the whole school. Despite the deluge of classes and academic responsibilities faced just the day before, the haunting echoes of exhaustion was nothing compared to the burning passion the athletes had for Sports Day. As the court turned into a colorful pool of blue, red, yellow and green, the sound of the whistle filled the arena, prompting the start of the even. Each competition was an action-packed Hollywood movie. There was falling and tumbling, tension and posturing, defeats and triumphs, and dellicious foods and beverages sponsored by the Student Council and Grade 12 students. The day was crowned with a killer Taylor Swift soundtrack as the cherry on top.
Champion - Red Eagle
1st runner up - Yellow Tiger
2nd runner up - Blue Shark
3rd runner up - Green Dragon
It did not take long before the question "who is the champion?" became the elephant in the room. With anticipation high in the air, the announcement dear to the hearts of the captains was finally announced. One by one trophies were given, before the Red Eagle led by Ricky Linton (Grade 12) and Shivansh Paul (Grade 11) soared through the sky and became the king of the jungle. All in all, a splendid performance by the athletes! - Aldo Herman G12
